The Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has been sponsoring the "National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award (NEEPA)" Up to this year, The purpose is to publicly praise the cause of promoting the performance of environmental protection work, and encourage other enterprises to use the winners as a model, do their best to promote corporate social responsibility, and jointly promote environmental protection and improve environmental quality. This award is also the highest honor awarded by the enterprises for corporate environmental performance. To accommodate a diverse business sector, this year’s NEEPA is divided into three groups：Benchmarking, Manufacturing and Non-manufacturing. The criteria for the selection include four items: environmental protection planning and management, energy and resource savings, pollution reduction effect contributionachievements and environmental participation. The recipients of this year's (2019) NEEPA include 56 organizations. Striving to enhance environmental quality in Taiwan, the EPA has published the Summary of the NEEPA Winners for Excellent Performance in Environmental Protection, which outlines the experiences of these organizations. In addition, the EPA will also sponsor demonstration seminars and site visits to some of the award-winning organizations' facilities, allowing the winners to share their experiences in promoting environmental protection.
